What is your academic/training background?

I completed a MS degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Seattle Pacific University in 2015. I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Washington State.

Do you see clients in person, via teletherapy or both?

Currently all sessions are offered via teletherapy. These live video therapy sessions are available to anyone in the state of Washington. I use a secure HIPAA platform (RemoteEMDR) to conduct these video sessions which you can access on your computer, tablet, or phone.

How do I schedule a session?

To begin we’ll schedule a free 20 minute consultation call to get to know one another. If we agree that the fit is good, we'll schedule your initial in-person session.

How often will I need sessions and for how long?

Sessions are scheduled weekly. I find that a ritual of weekly therapy keeps growth progressing consistently, helps to keep you grounded in the work, and provides structure for checking in with yourself regularly.

After a minimum of 6 months at a weekly cadence, established clients can consider changing to twice monthly sessions (if it’s deemed clinically appropriate).

Depending on a client’s goals - therapy can be short (12 sessions) or long term (several years). I enjoy working with clients long term to create a deep therapeutic relationship.

What are your session fees?

  • Individual Session - $150/50 minutes

  • Group Therapy Session - price varies by group type and length

  • Creative Exploration - $150/50 minutes

A Good Faith Estimate is available during scheduling or upon request.

Do you accept my insurance?

I am currently an in-network provider with Premera, Lifewise and Regence.

I also work with many clients as an out-of-network provider. Many insurance companies give out-of-network reimbursements for mental health services. I encourage you to check with your insurance provider to understand what reimbursement options may be available. I am happy to provide you a monthly superbill (itemized receipt of services) as needed. If you’d like an in-network provider, www.psychologytoday.com is a great resource for locating clinicians.

Do you offer sliding scale appointments?

I reserve several spots in my schedule to offer appointments at sliding scale fees, and whenever possible I will work with you to find a way for therapy to be financially sustainable. If you do not think you can afford my full fee, please don’t hesitate to contact me. If I’m unable to see you myself I’d be happy to offer referrals to trusted clinicians in the area. Additionally, OpenPathCollective.org is a great resource for finding affordable support.

Can you prescribe medication or make referrals for medication?

As an LMHC, I’m not able to prescribe medication to my clients. However, I’m happy to collaborate with/provide referrals to a primary care physician or psychiatrist for medication management.

What is your therapeutic approach?

I work with clients to discover their strengths, hold space for hope, and build personal agency. I believe in talking about where you're at, where youʼve come from and where you’re going - helping you to find and reach your potential.

As a systemically trained holistic psychotherapist, my approach is grounded in a humanistic psycho-bio-social-spiritual integrative framework. I believe deeply in mind-body holistic health (informed by neuroscience) and that therapy is just one component of learning to be at home and alive in your body/life.

Modalities I utilize include: Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Internal Family Systems, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. Narrative Therapy, Attachment Theory, and Somatic Therapy.

How do you keep my information confidential?

Good Space keeps all communication and client information safe and HIPAA compliant. I use an Electronic Health Records system (Sessions Health) that stores all your health records and personal information securely online. Please feel free to ask more about this if you have specific questions.

What do I do if I’m in crisis?

If you are experiencing a crisis call the Crisis Connections Clinic at (206) 461-3222, call 911, or go to the nearest hospital emergency room for assistance.
